The First Annual Home Grown Harvest Dinner
at Richmond Terrace

Much help and hard work from residents of Richmond Terrace, students from the community, volunteers from Richmond Heights Garden club and many friends made the event a huge success! Photographs compliments of Don Shaffer of Applecreek Productions.

Almost every dish served came from our small garden. The two and a half gallons of spaghetti sauce was made from tomatoes grown here. The pesto from our basil, the green tomato chutney from our green tomatoes and the salsa had our home grown peppers in it. The residents helped in making the pesto, the pickles that we sold and the first 14 pounds of meatballs! Residents and volunteers worked hard to decorate and serve dinner. Everyone had a great time. Who could ask for anything more!

The garden was created from a mere $350 donated from the Richmond Heights Garden Club and Richmond Terrace and loads of help, hard work and love.

Our goal is to raise enough money to create taller, more accessible garden beds with seating, to purchase soaker hoses, timers and garden tools. Our long range goals include paved paths for easy, safe access.
