President's Message
April 2008

Dear Fellow Gardeners,

Spring is here and after a long vacation in March I was happy to come home to all of the lovely daffodils in my yard. What a change from a dreary winter yard to plush, glowing green yard and new buds all over the place. The birds are happy and building their nests, the rabbits everywhere and I have to say my garden has come alive again. This will be a fabulous month with all of the new plants, shrubs and flowers I planted last year. I can’t wait to see each one bloom and show itself off!

This month is the month I have been waiting for, the annual plant sale. This is what brought me to the Garden Club in the first place. I am excited to see the plants Donna has chosen and all the creative ideas from the club. This should be a huge sale with a huge profit for donations. It will be a lot of fun to work with many of you on this project.

For April’s speaker we have a wonderful guest who is going to share his knowledge on the very wildlife living in our back yard. He is a specialist to identifying the birds, caring for them, and how to enjoy and bring in more to your life. Birds can be such a soothing background to gardening and I know it keeps me busy trying to keep up with who has hatched, like my three baby cardinals last year. I hope they all return this year and keep me company.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting and catching up. March was a long month.

Your President,

Dena Huber
